What Is a Graphic Organizer?
A graphic organizer is a tool used to organize information in a way where relationships between facts, concepts or ideas are demonstrated clearly. This is also very effective when brainstorming for writing content.
How to Create a Graphic Organizer for the Writing Process?
- Note all the questions you have about the writing topic and also write all knowledge you currently have on it.
- Research about the topic in general and also try to find the answers for the questions you have. You may include information in the form of interviews, research, statistics, surveys, expert opinions, quotations and any other facts.
- Create a workspace on Creately and use one of the existing graphic organizer templates or start from scratch. Break down the information from brainstorming into 3-7 main ideas/categories.
- Add the supporting information, facts or details under each key idea and fill out the graphic organizer.
- Share your graphic organizer with the other relevant members in the content team to gather their feedback with contextual comments on Creately. You can download your graphic organizers as PNGs, SVGs, PDFs, and JPEGs for printing, sharing or publishing on websites, presentations, etc. You can also share it with anyone via an email or link invite.
- After you get the team feedback, delegate the content to a team mate or start writing it yourself.
